"Today is friday, it is my day to do what i want Mama can tell me that i'm goin nowhere, i'm just a prisoner of my fate Would you come along, bring me in Would you come along, bring me in Bring me in Today if friday, it is my day to disappear To kings and queens and make-believe and the demons in my head Would you come along, bring me in Would you come along, bring me in Bring me in........" Goldspot

Lovely song by Goldspot aptly describes the mood I am in it is friday and I am finally free.
Exams are done and my worst and most torturous semester so far comes to an end. All the packing has been done and now I'm on my way back home.

Rakht charitra

Browsing through my movies folder I found Rakht Charitra a movie by Ram Gopal Varma (of Ram Gopla Varma ki AAG fame) with Vivek Oberoi (who was last seen running and jumping around in tight fitting leather  costumes with scantily clothed women throwing themselves at him) in the lead this made me certain that this was going to be another one where I would have half my brain cells dead by the end, however with no imminent requirement of brain cells in near future I decided to watch it.

Surprisingly Rakht Charitra turned out to be the best Hindi movie I have watched this year with strong performances by Vivek Oberoi and  Abhimanyu Singh( the guy who plays Bukka Reddy) with all the other actors in the movie giving very good supporting performances. The only flaw was RGV's narration, I don't understand why did he have to narrate while he has Bachchans at his beck and call (or was Vivek Oberoi being the lead a problem for Bachchans) anyway the movie was very bold, depicting the dark side of Indian politics and the bureaucratic system (which has no place for the pious and hardworking) entailing some violent scenes in the process.

With this movie RGV and Vivek Oberoi have successfully affirmed their moronity, when each of them can produce such movies(RGV's Satya,Sarkaar,Shiva come to mind)  n performances(Vivek's Company,Shoot out) intermittently why aren't they more prudent, I guess Vivek Oberoi should be stereotyped as a gunda or Gangster becoz he can pull those roles of really well.
I thoroughly enjoyed the movie and am looking forward to its sequel.

Ayodhya,commonwealth,cricket and exams

A posh looking new foot over bridge, the false roof of a stadium.......India's self esteem and credibility all going down rapidly in a pile of rubble has become common knowledge, every Indian who could hear, read or see and was not crazy enough to confuse shit smeared toilets with peculiarly shaped chocolate fountains, believed with utmost conviction that the common wealth games would go down the drain .Bestselling author of books on student life, call center life etc (all cheaper than a Jockey ka chaddi) asking people to boycott the games to show our rejection of the games, top athletes pulling out and with constant media criticism reaffirmed this belief over and over again...................

Ayodhya, a religious place pulled into court rooms, discussion forums, debate competitions  by  violent and sacrilegious crimes committed years ago leading to years of tension and creating a juicy source for politicians to play vote bank politics, however a committee set up (before the era of ipads, iphones, xboxes, rising Asian economies) after spending 8crores and 18 years finally came to a decision this week.........

A month long of negligence, chatting in class , watching movies, gaming  combined with a string of bunks  had resulted in  large blank spaces in concepts required to understand the portion for the exam.A week back the books were dug out and dusted clean, notes were borrowed and photocopied, empty coffee cups laid strewn about  and the table had turned into a war zone ......................The dreaded 2nd sessionals had come (dreaded becoz this generally contains the most vicious q papers of the 3 sessionals we have each sem).

India had dominated the entire test match right up till the last day where Aussies as usual  crawled their way back in and the Indian team was chocking, batsmen failing again right when they were needed to finish things off..............

..........................................................................................................................................................

A 70 crore helium filled aerostat measuring  40 metresX80 metresX12 metres (world's largest) soared 25mtrs above the ground ,a 500 ton stage enough to hold 500 people,1,200 moving lights, 120 space cannons and 16 follow spots 25 stacks of speakers producing 500,000 Watts of sound and a cheering crowd of 60,000 humans filled the stadium. The ceremony successfully showcased India's culture, beauty, traditions, art using state of the art equipment the music, light and the cheering crowd all blend in together to showcase  the arrival of a new economically, culturally and socially strong India. The opening ceremony was a big hit!! and so have been the Indian athletes who have been piling on the medals, breaking records (though the same cannot be said about the games and politicians, the organisers)

The court had given its verdict and India accepted it peacefully gracefully with not a single incident of violence, hate speech, rallies and all nonsense that is generally associated with such an event. I don't know whether the decision is right or wrong nor do I care. The manner in which the decision was accepted was more important  than the decision itself. I don't care where exactly in Ayodhya was one of our gods born or how big a temple or mosque or church is to be built there ,when more important issues like poverty, crime, recession, terrorism, global warming, my sessional, release date of the next episode of House ,should i put the fan on 4 or 5 concern  the world .As I see it India as a country has won the case showing great maturity and tolerance, at least for now till some greedy politicians brain wash some ignorant jobless people into fighting each other again .

VVS laxman, Ishant sharma fought back and we won the game.Dhoni and co escaped by the skin of their teeth, Laxman had once again done it against the Aussies and cricket had once again screwd up my exam.

As for the sessionals, I opened the exams emphatically .Doing well in the very first exam lifted up my spirits driving me to work harder but unfortunately unlike the other issues above the harder I worked the tougher the paper got and I finally got screwd.
However finally the exams are done and those sadistic, balding, pot bellied middle aged men have had their fun with us.and now I'm back to movies, gaming, sleeping ...............

Exams are back............. hurray!!

Through this post I'll try to justify the HURRAY and how my brain got rewired to associate this frightful E word (that can cause full grown humans to wet their beds, cause insomnia, make the habitual bunkers to attend classes and among hotties can ignite a sudden interest in the geeks and nerds.) with fun and relaxation.

Don't get me wrong this post is not about techniques to overcome exam fears or to get over your nerves improving your performance and all that crap. If you are looking for anything useful please do not read further because if anything this post will only make you more nervous and you might break your laptop in frustration.

When a child grows up through school, teachers, parents, elder siblings ,relatives almost everyone around make a great deal out of marks, sliptests, unit tests, quizzes, the child begins to associate exams with some hugely important life altering event, soon the child discovers the highly dubious nature of the result of an exam that can make parents and teachers happy bring in chocolates while at times can usher in waves of scoldings, new books, tutors, restrictions on tv, games.

Growing up I associated  EXAM with fear, expectations, burden and a whole lot of painful studying, mugging, sleepless nights. However after school and now in college through 1st and 2nd year the word has evolved , now exam time is associated with faster download speeds hence more movies and episodes, somehow my brain has associated the word EXAM with holiday mood a time to relax, catch up on sleep, movies, tv shows, reading etc.
Sometimes though  when I loose control panic strikes and all the fear comes rushing back and I do open the books but within 10 minutes the saner me takes over and everything is back to normal.

Yesterday when I tried reading Analog Communication (yeah it is as interesting as it sounds) I ended up watching 3movies, Fight club, American History X, 88 minutes munching on the burnt slices of pizza ordered from a local food joint.
At times while trying to figure out how to draw layouts, stick diagrams in VLSI, I suddenly end up on a football field playing for hours till the guard forces us to turn off the flood lights or 4 hours later drooling all over the book or Facebook or my newly acquired and well honed skill of staring off into blank spaces.

Now I am off to watch The Wrestler before I go insane and try studying again. So cheers !! everybody happy Exams !!

Budhapa

The ball goes soaring through the goalpost past a desperately diving goalkeeper followed by hi-fis, approving
grunts, hugs from your sweaty teammates while you run around celebrating filled with euphoria.........you have scored a goal.
If you have not guessed it by now I am talking of football (soccer). I remember the school days when every lunch break my friends and I gulped down our lunch in less than 5mins, ran onto the field and played football until the bell rang (resulting in our group getting punished by the teacher for being late we spent most physics periods standing near the dustbins sweating and panting shamelessly smiling at the handful of people left seated). I cherished every single game we played and still remember every goal I scored, the adrenaline rush ,the drenched shirts, bleeding kneecaps and swearing at the PT sir for making us do silly drills every games period. If I think back about my school the playground and the goalposts are the first images that come to mind.
Then came 11th,12th (the rotten years of my life which I very regretfully blew away sleeping and doing nonsense, a long sad tale  irrelevant to the topic at hand) and suddenly everything was gone no playgrounds, no sweating, no running around no more goals.Football a favourite passtime had now become a luxury.
College, my college is in Manipal located in karnataka close to kerala, this place has just two seasons burning  hot summers and soaking wet  rainy seasons, both highly unsuitable for playing football. However we managed to form a small group and played a few games but then with every passing game I realised I had  lost my stamina and speed the crucial aspects of my game, finally after getting brutally abused at a game against the local school kids I decided I was now too lazy and weak to play football. I  tried my luck at other games (TT and pool) but nothing came anywhere close to football nor was I good at any of them....
Now all I do is lie around in my room in front of the laptop watching sitcoms, movies or playing games, the only physical activity being the walk to mess for dinner. I think finally the time has come when I will have to join a gym and will have to pay to get a physical exercise, got to get these rusty bones moving.

Time Warp

The terms time warp, space warp and time-space warp are commonly used in science non-fiction. They sometimes refer to Einstein's theory that time and space form a continuum which bends, folds or warps from the observer's point of view (COURTESY WIKI)

NOTE- The post below does not contain anything which can increase your scientific knowledge, it is not related to the TV show with the same title, it is absolutely moronic and hazardous to the brain.

There are times when you have too much of everything to do, loads to be done deadlines to be met and you wish there are more than 24hrs in a day.
Good  times that you wish lasted forever, times you wish to stop, slowdown and savor, but they seem to go wooshing past you.
Then there are times you wish had never come, which hurt and torment you, but no matter what you do these seem to last forever, life pauses and make you feel trapped in that painful moment with every detail, emotion, pain being drilled in against your wish.
Finally you have times like the one I am now in, the ones you wish to get every ones in a while, at times you even wish your whole life was one of these "HOLIDAYS", these things can be relaxing, a break from your life, time to catch up with sleep, movies awesome fun yay yay yay blah blah......... "BULLSHIT" (sorry for the remark but my mind is highly unstable at the moment).
What do you do when you are done with sleeping, have watched anything remotely interesting on the laptop , read the novel you wanted to and whatever little money you had left has been spent on playing pool and food. What if you had nothing to catch up with in the first place. The excitement of getting holidays wears off, half of your friends have run back to their mommy's while the rest are either equally  hit by BOREDOM or drunk and hysterically laughing in some bar. With 2 more holidays to go I have absolutely no idea what to do, I am bored, but this time happily bored.

P.S.- All this cribbing has made me realise holidays rock, I have HOLIDAYS you loser hahahaha take that, in your face, hahahaha.
P.P.S- I know I have gone mad a psychatrist has been called I am in safe hands nothing to worry, bye, bye.

The first one

CAUTION: The nonsense below can damage your brain, proceed at your own risk the owner of this blog shall not be held responsible for any mental, physical or spiritual damage caused.

Hello I am Suraj an engineering student and just like the other  "technologically enlightened" (sarcasm  intended)  youth of the country I have loads of  free time, so unfortunately for the human race I decided to start a blog. Unlike most other people I was not asked  by friends, relatives or an alter-ego to start blogging, instead a lot of people have tried to stop this cataclysmic event from happening but it was destined to happen and so I am here.
WHY DID I DO IT ?
Reading random blogs, absolute boredom, a lame dialogue from one of my friends ("Dude I need to remember all the shit you say so that when we are 40 I can come to you tell you how dumb you were at 20 and laugh at you") and severe brain damage (caused by attending and learning nonsense in schools and now College) are the reasons that made me a blogger. Now when I am 40 I can read my blog to reminisce these dumb days of my life.
WARNING
Hereafter I intend to periodically release similar posts describing the retarded thoughts my damaged brain generates in an absolutely rotten form of English.

PS:If you have read through and think that you have discovered a new language, I am sorry to disappoint you, the above post was meant to be written in English.
